SILVANO PIERDONÀ, 2004 — Inspired by the instinct to collect, Concept is a modern rendition of the classic bookcase/ display cabinet. It has a solid lacquered wooden structure. Its square doors are the... leitmotiv of its design. Made of glass, each one opens independently, and they visually divide the different spaces of the bookcase. The horizontally arranged interiors can be finished with contrasting colours, accentuating the rationalist aspects of the structure. When illuminated from the inside, Concept presents warm or cold hues, in accordance with the piece’s function.
